XLR8 Coach Josh Lazarus’ time with XLR8 has sadly come to an end as he progresses into the next chapter of his life; marriage and teaching full-time.
Josh brought an immense level of passion, care, leadership and coaching quality to XLR8 and we are grateful for having Josh as part of our coaching team for the past 3 years.
Josh was also involved in delivering NSFA Coach Education Courses and workshops, inspiring and empowering the next generation of coaches within the NSFA.
Here’s what Josh had to say about his time with XLR8:
“Over my time as a XLR8 coach I have had the opportunity to work with many amazing players, coaches, parents and clubs. I have coached players from U6 to O35, Hornsby Heights to Chatswood and everyone and everywhere in between.
“I have been fortunate enough to have incredible learning opportunities from other coaches and the opportunity to pass on my knowledge to other players and even to coach some of the coaches.
“It has been a real privilege to see XLR8 grow from its beginnings to what it is now.
“It has similarly been impressive to see each player, team and club grow to make the association and community football in general reach up towards its full potential so that hopefully we can have the next Tim Cahill or Sam Kerr come from NSFA.
“As for me, I am looking forward to the next chapter in my life when I get married soon and in my professional career as a teacher.
“I’ll still be around the football fields on and off, so if you see me, or more likely hear my voice, don’t be afraid to come over and say hello!”
Thank you, Josh! From everyone at XLR8 and within the NSFA we wish you all the best in the future.
