Founded in 2017, Northern Suburbs Football Association (NSFA) launched ‘XLR8 Player Development’ to meet the growing demands from local clubs and members for additional professional football coaching.
With all NSFA development and coaching programs rebranded under XLR8, our vision is to strengthen grassroots football by providing all local community players with access to professional high-quality coach and player development opportunities. XLR8 strives to develop players who are intelligent, creative and skillful with highly qualified and passionate coaches. In doing so, we strengthen the foundation of all players within NSFA and raise the overall quality of football and player engagement within the organisation.
On top of providing In-term Programs and Holiday Camps, XLR8 also reinvests all funds back into the local community through NSFA, allowing for more inclusive and expansive footballing opportunities. This includes the creation of regular Frame Football opportunities, an inclusive game where players who use a walker/frame can still enjoy the world game. Additionally, XLR8 has assisted in creating more opportunities in female football through the Skellern Cup, a free event which sees girls from local schools participate in a tournament to celebrate female football and show the benefits of the game to players, parents, and schools in the region regardless of whether they have played before.
Furthermore, all NSFA Community Coaching Development initiatives have been provided free to community members and coaches with the assistance of XLR8 revenue.
